For grown-ups
Everything you need to know about The Bible Experience and this website.
What is The Bible Experience?
The Bible Experience is a weekend for children aged 5 to 10 at Glendale Church. Children travel through 12 stops that tell the Bible’s big story, from creation all the way to Jesus’ return, with games, drama, craft and stories along the way.
This website is for during and after the weekend. At each stop your family can read the story together (or tap Read to me), watch a short video, open the passage in a Bible, talk about it and learn a key verse. When your child taps I’ve been here!, that stop’s sticker is coloured in on their trail.

How we check videos and links
- A leader watches every video, or reads every web page, all the way through before it appears here. Anything not yet checked stays off the site.
- Videos only come from YouTube channels our leaders have approved.
- Nothing loads from YouTube until you tap a video. It then plays on our page in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The links inside YouTube’s player (such as the video’s title and the YouTube logo) are switched off, so your child stays on our website. When a video ends, YouTube may suggest other videos from the same channel, which we have not checked.
- Links only go to a short list of trusted websites, such as bible.com for the Bible passages.
- Every link that leaves this website first says
This leaves our website. Ask a grown-up first.
If you spot anything that worries you, please tell us: [Name and email or phone number].
Your privacy
This website collects nothing about you or your child. There are no accounts, forms, comments, cookies, adverts, analytics or tracking.
The stops your child marks with I’ve been here! are remembered only in this web browser, on this device. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Clearing this website’s data in your browser settings also clears them.
Read to me uses the speaking voices built into your device or browser.
Keeping children safe
If you are worried about a child’s safety, please contact our safeguarding lead: [Name and how to contact them].
The Bible on this site
The stories are retold in simple words for children aged 5 to 10. Key verses and Bible links use the New International Reader’s Version (NIrV), which is written for younger readers.
[NIrV copyright notice: confirm the exact wording with the publisher]
